Real Antique Photography These photographs were captured on film using antique roll and glass plate cameras.
You may remember me walking around taking these, and seeing my old cameras. Click on the camera to see some of my old cameras These are the cameras I use for taking stereo photographs. They are made to hold a glass plate 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches that has been sensitised with silver emulsion. I use silver gelatin sheet film instead, but with the same effect. Stereo photos were the TV of the day from the 1850's, By the turn of the century, they were in every home. With film going away and old timers like me dying off, you will not likely see anything like this again. |
